When sustainably managed, forests provide countless renewable resources.
What is a tree worth you may ask? A single tree, whether cut or standing, certainly holds a value. Left standing, a tree could add value with growth, provide critical wildlife habitat or provide a value as simple as shade. Its value if cut could depend upon various market factors. Could this tree end up at a local sawmill for dimensional lumber or could it find its way to a custom bar top woodworker? At SBF, we can help you understand the true value of your forest.
Our company offers several styles of comprehensive forest management plans, each custom tailored to fit our client’s needs. We also prepare timber sale contracts, statements of work and requests for proposals to solicit to local forestry contractors, loggers and wood product processors.
When planning moves to operations, SBF specializes in full technical timber sale design, layout, resource sampling and administration.
Post project treatments such as tree planting, native grass seeding and noxious weed control make good projects great. SBF is well qualified and happy to assist with these post-project practices.
