Why Hire Spring Branch Forestry?

A forestry consultant is your trusted advisor for all things related to forest management. We will listen to your objectives and present management options based in science. An experienced forester should hold a broad knowledge of ecosystems dynamics, silvicultural systems, plant physiology, forest insects and disease, wildlife biology, fire science, statistics and natural resource economics. The ability to apply this knowledge in light of a client’s objectives in the most sustainable, resourceful, economical and timely manner is the measure of a good forestry consultant. It is also where the true “art” of forestry shines through.

At Spring Branch Forestry, we first and foremost serve our client.  We also hold a close working connection to local forestry service based contractors such as arborists, loggers, fire mitigation contractors, excavation contractors as well as large and small scale wood product producers. We will help you find the right forestry services contractor for the job by identifying your needs, formulating a plan, providing project layout and design, soliciting for a competitive bid and providing complete project oversite and monitoring.

Spring Branch forestry is a small business based out of Ridgway, Colorado. Partners, Austin Shelby and Courtney Haynes have collectively been practicing forestry on the Western Slope on private and federally owned land for over 20 years. Our professional relationship experience provides us with a unique opportunity to leverage both funding and knowledge from partners such as state and federal agencies as well as local nonprofits.
